Description: A request for proposal to control non-native invasive Carp in a 33ha freshwater lake known as Little Sea on the Studland Peninsula, located within the Purbeck Heaths National Nature Reserve. This four year contract is part of a project funded by a Natural England Conservation Enhancement Scheme. The removal of Carp by specialist contractors has been undertaken since 2014, with over 4 tonnes of fish removed from the lake to date. Contractors will be chosen based on capacity, capability, relevant experience including of working in sensitive habitats on protected sites, proposed solution and cost.
