LONDON, Sept. 2 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:
During a visit tothe municipality ofCholuteca, British Ambassador to Honduras Juliana Correa met farming familiesbenefitingfrom theprogrammeand learned how investment, technicalassistanceand innovation are supporting more productive,resilientand lower-emission livestock systems.
As part of the visit, 11 farming families received the first loans delivered through the project in the region. The financing will support investments in low-carbon technologies, improved farmmanagementand climate adaptation measures.
The project is supported throughMAF, an international climate financeprogrammebacked by the UK and other partners. In Honduras, it aims to improve access to finance and technical support for livestock producers while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Ambassador Correa visited Finca La Bendición, where she saw first-hand how producers are implementing sustainable approaches that strengthen productivity, improve resilience to climatechangeand support the sustainable management of natural resources.
