LONDON, April 14 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:

Helpus improve our understanding of legalaidcapacity and demand by sharing your knowledge and experience. Your valuable insights will strengthen legal aid and shape the future of legal aid delivery.

We will launch a survey for all providers who currently hold a live legal aid contract. The survey will open on27April 2026and close on1June2026.

This survey will help ourselves and the Ministry of Justice develop a more detailed understanding of market capacity and demand for legal aid services. Insights gained from the surveywill also highlight the current challenges in how we work with our providers.

We will greatly appreciate providers completion of the survey; the higher the participation rate, the more valuable the insights we can gather to improve the quality of our services.

How will the survey work?

Providers with a live legal aid contract will receive an emailand link foreach of their officeson27April 2026.

The emailwill be sent tothe member of staff nominated by the firm to act as their named liaison between their firmandthe LAA. The emailwill besent from ProviderSurvey@justice.gov.uk.

If you have not received your survey link by 5:00pm on27April 2026, please ask your nominated liaison to check their junk/spam folder. If the link is not there, please contact the LAA InsightsTeamon the email below to request the link.
