U.K., Oct. 29 -- UK Parliament issued the following news:

The Housing, Communities and Local Government (HCLG) Committee has written to the Housing Ombudsman, following the disclosure that its case management system had been affected by a “third-party IT security incident”.

Letter from Abena Oppong-Asare MP, Chair of the Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee, to Andrea Keenoy, Interim Housing Ombudsman, The Housing Ombudsman Service (27 October)

The committee correspondence expresses concern that residents’ information may have been compromised as part of this incident and asks a series of questions on the Ombudsman’s response to the cyberattack, the support available to individuals that may have been put at risk as a result, and the steps being taken to rebuild public confidence.
