LONDON, Feb. 18 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:
The schemecomprisesthe installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generating panels, associated electrical equipment, cabling and energy storage facilities together with grid connection infrastructure. The generating capacity of the Scheme will exceed 50MWand its maximum capacity isanticipatedto be 237.5MW.
The application wassubmittedto the Planning Inspectorate for consideration byFenwick Solar Project Ltdon1November2024and accepted forexamination on29November2024.
Following anexamination during which the public,statutoryconsultees andinterestedparties were given the opportunity to give evidence to the Examining Authority, recommendations were made to the Secretary of State on18November2025.
This is the105thenergyapplication out of173applications examined to date and was again completed by the Planning Inspectorate within the statutory timescale laid down in the Planning Act 2008.
Local communities continue to be given the opportunity of being involved in the examination of projects that may affect them. Local people, the localauthorityand otherinterestedparties were able toparticipatein this six-monthexamination.
The Examining Authority listened andgave full consideration toall local views and the evidence gathered during theexamination before making its recommendation to the Secretary of State.
The decision, the recommendation made by the Examining Authority to the Secretary of State forEnergy Security and Net Zeroand the evidence considered by the Examining Authority in reaching its recommendation are publicly available on the project pages of the National Infrastructure Planning website.
